Thanks for taking us on an awesome ride through the track. It has been a while sine I rode a horse but I felt safe with the trained staff around and things went smoothly.

The experience was enjoyable however as I said above the guide we had could not control the horses and we expected more from an experienced riding school.

Had a really fun personal experience with Cleo and Buddy, was just the Mrs and I plus the guide and we had a great time! At a reasonable price too. I would recommend :)

It took two people to bring the horse to a stop and while the trainer was extremely apologetic, the same could not be said about the owner, who barely looked up from the papers she was leafing through behind her desk. No sympathy or compassion whatsoever, and simply told us we should have not put her in sandals. I would think that if this place knew what they were doing they would have picked up on this beforehand and would have either provided boots to wear or at least instructions on what to wear on the day. Guess I should have seen the red flags with the numerous “NO REFUNDS” signage and lacklustre demeanour of the owner.

My mother and I booked in to do a two hour ride. The scenery was beautiful however we were disappointed with the way the ride went. I am not sure whether the two horses that we were given were just having a bad day but they did not seem to be very well trained. The guide that we had was nice but she didn't seem to be able to control the horses and the horses did not respond well to any commands that she gave which to be honest started to be a concern and hour into the ride. The horses kept stopping and on several occasions would not proceed on with the trail when commanded. Towards the end of the ride part of the trail was blocked by a tree which meant we had to turn around and use a different route. This tree looked like it had been there for awhile so I would have expected the guides to have known this beforehand. This also made the horses uneasy and it took the guide a fair bit of effort to get them to turn around and go a different way.

A word of caution for those considering the hand guided pony rides for children… These aren’t shetland ponies in a small enclosure but full grown ponies on a nature trail. We were assured they were fine and perfectly safe for 3 year olds however half way through the ride, the horse began to trot and naturally our child fell, getting her sandal stuck in the stirrup on the way off. Luckily the trainer was quick to notice and caught her, but we then watched helplessly as the horse dragged them both along, struggling to free my daughter’s foot from the stirrup and stop the horse at the same time.
